There seems to be a lot of misconceptions about being a programmer, largely because
there is a very common stereotype of the “typical” programmer - male, white, and
oftentimes rather antisocial! So in my latest video, I talk about some of these
misconceptions and show that you don’t have to fit the stereotype to be a programmer!

The Propelify Festival is an annual outdoor event targeted at the innovation community in the Northeast of the United States. The 2017 edition was held on May 18th, and brought together more than 80 speakers, thousands of start-up founders and entrepreneurs,and investors, all to the beautiful waterfront city of Hoboken, New Jersey.
I got the opportunity to speak at this year’s ASU + GSV Summit in Salt lake City, Utah. It is the world’s largest education technology summit, bringing together educators, innovators, entrepreneurs, and technologists.
